Biography
Dancer and choreographer Zinzan began his career at the age of 15 after competing in the HHI World Hip Hop Dance Championships in Phoenix, USA. He is trained in several dance styles, including hip hop, commercial, contemporary, ballet, jazz and lyrical.
He was a principal dancer aboard the Norwegian Aqua cruise ship in a tribute celebrating the musical genius of Prince, Revolutions: A Celebration of Prince, directed by Patti Wilcox.
Zinzan’s passion for dance also extends to choreography. He has created routines for multiple dance studios across Cape Town for the competitive dance circuit.
His work has featured in the SAFTAs 18 Awards Show, which honours creative excellence in the local film and television industry. He was also part of the choreography team for Tarryn Lamb’s music video for her song Ek’s Lief Vir Jou.
In September 2025, he travelled to Los Angeles, California, to be mentored by Tia Rivera, who was part of the choreography team for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour and the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show.
Zinzan has a deep love for the local dance industry. He believes South African dance deserves recognition for the calibre and level of artistry that the scene undeniably possesses. His dream is to pave the way for the local dance industry to receive opportunities both locally and internationally.
