Tuiskoms marks Netflix’s second original series in Afrikaans, following Ludik, that featured Arnold Vosloo.

The seven-episode series, premiered on Netflix on 28 February, and follows Fleur portrayed by Amalia Uys, a widowed chef who loses her restaurant and house overnight.

She must return to her mother’s home in Wilderness with her daughter. Through the town, it’s people and a flower shop, she starts a new journey that ultimately sets her free from her husband’s death and brings her love again.

In one of her final roles before her death in December, Michelle Botes portrays Abigail, a tender character as a mother and confidant.

The series is directed by Nina Swarts and majority of this rom com was shot in Wilderness, a seaside town on the Garden Route.

Conradie van Heerden, can be seen in the role of Herman, Liza Scholtz is playing the role of Patricia and Anlezia Moné, the role of Charlene.
