Arendsvlei, the first fully-fledged Afrikaans telenovela which made its debut on KykNet&Kie on 1 October 2018, revolves around fictional community and the Cape Flats high school where the Cupido family who runs the school, tries to make a difference in children’s lives.

The series is loaded with drama as teachers and pupils confront issues ranging from depression and addiction to murder, revenge, and teenage pregnancy.

In what was supposed to be one season only, has become so popular among KykNET viewers – that one season, turned into six and now, after six seasons, the telenovela will come to an end in 27 June 2024.

Over the last 6 seasons, Ice Artistes have represented actors for principal roles including Nancia Dorland (Candice), Chad Baai (Kaleb), Devonecia Swartz (Eva) and Kim Syster (Rachel).

Kim Syster was invited by Kuier magazine to take part in their farewell tribute to Arendsvlei in their latest edition – on shelves now!
